Baptism does not bring salvation.  

So then, why do believers in Jesus Christ as the Son of God get baptized? 

The concept of baptism seems so simple, get dunked under water by a church pastor and recognize Jesus as your Lord and Savior. But there are so many differing beliefs about ‘why’ we should or should not be baptized and when that should occur.
